In quantum mechanics, it’s said that when an object is looked at, it is changed. I think the reverse is also true. This feels important. I am changed, because I look. I am changed, because I make.
Silvina Lanusse is a mixed media creative originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina now living in Parksville. Her work is inspired by animals and nature around her. Her painting begins the moment the first drop of colour falls on her substrate. It starts with a swirl, then another. Layers of pure colour dance in rhythm with textures. Her painting varies from colourful abstracts to whimsical stories. Organic strokes held together in a symphony of radiant paint bursting like her life tango.

Lori’s the only artist in Canada that does this technique for over 19 years. She’s also a decorative painting on canvas, and wood with acrylics, that’s perfect to fill anyone’s little niche in their home.
