My name is Rodney Wilson, woodworking has always been a passion of mine, it’s a continuous journey of improving skills and techniques. A few years ago, I put aside three decades of handcrafting custom doors and windows at my studio, Saratoga Woodworks. My sole focus now is solid wood furniture, using the wonderful local woods available on Vancouver Island.
My furniture is based on a craftsman style with a modern twist, incorporating good joinery and solid wood, along with functionality, giving my pieces long-lasting durability. I get great satisfaction from sharing my passion, knowledge, and skills with people, so they too can experience the rewarding feeling that woodworking can provide.
I have an in-house studio with ample space and modest tools. I wake up every day, step into my studio, and work the wood, living the dream.
