Margaret is a therapeutic artist, writer, and educator. She operates the Silver Bowerbird Gallery & Studio, facilitates expressive arts workshops, community Pop-Up arts events and art shows. After operating a commercial screen printing business for 26 years with her late partner, James Morris, Margaret has returned to her love of expressive arts and is happily exploring a variety of media.
A deep reverence for the environment has compelled her to use found media wherever possible in her artwork and has led to a type of metaphoric “Net Painting” which seeks to capture the essence of joy, journey, and spirit in a mixed media form.
Working primarily in acrylics and mixed media, Margaret explores the intuitive expression of emotion through art. Inspired by nature, especially the amazing seashore, you will find whimsical pieces, abstract expressionist, environmental assemblages made from litter found on the beach and garden fairy doors with a seaside flavour!
You will be able to try out acrylic painting or a mixed media creation during studio tour! Join in and have fun. There will be refreshments available.
