gilakas’la / čɛčɛ haθɛč, We are deeply grateful for, and respectfully acknowledge that the lands upon which we and all our Central Island Artists produce their creative work are the unceded traditional territory of Puntledge, Eiksan, K’ómoks, Homalco and Tla’amin first nations, and the Te’mexw Treaty Association.

Coastal Reflections in Art

Nature is the conduit for my Photography and Fused Art. Nature’s abundance of textures, vibrancy, muted tones and images, compliments both mediums. I have loved photography for many years. Working in a dark room and seeing my images appear for the first time is a strong memory. Digital photography has changed the process, though the inspiration is very much alive. The west coast provides the canvas for nature photography and travel photography provides the opportunity to capture different vistas and themes. My friend Gary Walsh is a silver and fused glass artist and he introduced me to Fused Glass. Soon it became another passion. My work includes functional pieces such as platters and bowls, as well as jewelry and indoor/outdoor art. Blair, my husband and I, moved to the Comox Valley in 2010. It is a nature photographer’s paradise. Our much photographed dog, Beau loves the many trails and beaches too.
