My name is Leah Rosehill, the hands and heart behind Rosehill Pottery!
I am a local potter and my studio is situated on a beautiful hobby farm in Cumberland. It’s here where I create my whimsical, nature themed pottery.
Fungi has been a main inspiration for me for years, starting when I was in University studying ceramics. The shapes, forms, and all the hundreds of thousands of species (some of which we have not even discovered yet) astound me. I even used to work on a mushroom farm in the Lower Mainland as well as several small farms. This love for nature and the beauty in the Earth and small creatures is where I harness the creativity in my art practice.
I studied Ceramics at Kwantlen University in Surrey and have been a full-time studio potter for 4 years now! I sell in many local shops and galleries here in the Cmox Valley as well as up and down Vancouver Island doing markets and events.
