Artist Statement
Loretta?s unique digital-paintings combines abstraction and expressionism with a maximalist approach. Her subject incorporates both elements of landscape and floral forms with a bohemian colour palette. The composition is holistic. The story is fully exposed, but forever moving. There is an open invitation to travel through time and space and enter a new worlds of emerging possibilities.
Loretta has over four decades of experience as an award-winning painter and printmaker. Her home studio is located in the Comox Valley which she shares with her photographer husband Wolfgang Busch She draws her inspiration from the rural setting they live in, and the many years of travel together collecting over +45,000 photos between them.
